Armed attack on two Azerbaijanis in St. Petersburg

Police of Frunzen district of Russia’s St. Petersburg city is dealing with an incident that occurred near a vegetable storage on Sofia Street that left two natives of Azerbaijan wounded. One was shot in the head while another was stuck in the neck with a knife.

Arriving police patrol found a shell from a traumatic gun in an empty Porsche Cayenne at a house 60 on Sofia Street. As it turned out, the car belonged to 26-year-old Vyborg resident, a native of Azerbaijan.

Soon after, the police received a message from the Institute of Emergency Care that 39-year-old St. Petersburg resident, a native of Azerbaijan, had been admitted with a gunshot wound in the right cheek.

His was urgently operated on. The man said an unknown man shot at him at his house located at 60 Sofia Street.

Almost simultaneously it became known that the owner of an abandoned car was admitted to the same hospital. Vyborg resident had a stab wound in his neck. Both Caucasians were taken to hospital by compatriots in other cars.

BMW X5 with Belarusian numbers is being searched by police in connection with the attack on the traders.
