Azeri Embassy prevents sale of Armenian cognac with Karabakh-etiquette in Germany

04 August 2010 [16:41] - TODAY.AZ
Azerbaijani embassy in Germany investigated the Internet reports about the sale of Armenian cognacs with the etiquettes showing Nagorno Karabakh as a part of Armenia in Heilbronn, Baden-Württemberg. Azerbaijan’s Honorary Consulate in Stuttgart sent a letter of protest to Aniland GmbH, which organized the sale of cognacs in Germany.

In its reply message, Aniland GmbH said that it didn’t intend to interfere in the political processes in the Caucasus and therefore it demanded the purveyor to change etiquettes in January, 2010. The cognacs have not been sold since January and all bottles with a wrong etiquette were returned back to Armenia. The company said it would sell cognacs with right etiquettes only.
