Quake hits Caspian Sea

An earthquake took place in the Caspian Sea on Wednesday.

The earthquake occurred in the Caspian Sea at 10:37 am on Aug.24, the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences' Republican Seismological Service told Trend.

The earthquake, which took place 211 km from Baku, measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale, was recorded in 65 km depth.

The tremors were not felt.
