Delegation of Azerbaijani ministry of economic development arrives in Berlin

A mission of Azerbaijan ministry of economic development led by the Deputy Minister Niyazi Safarov arrived in Germany to attend the run-up for the International Green Week exhibition due in Germany January 21 - 30.

The Azerbaijani mission led by the minister of agriculture Ismet Abbasov will attend the exhibition. Some 35 Azerbaijani companies are expected to showcase their products at the exhibition.

The International Green Week (IGW) is a unique exhibition for the food, agriculture and horticulture industries, held in Berlin. Producers from all over the world use the event to test-market food and luxury items.

Presentations feature fresh produce such as fish, meat and dairy products, as well as a vast selection of specialty wines, beers and spirits from all over the world. There are also agricultural, forestry and landscaping exhibits, with themes such as renewable resources and scientific livestock breeding in Central and Eastern Europe.

More than 250 symposia, seminars, forums, committee meetings, etc. take place during the IGW. Participants include a range of commercial and governing bodies from the agricultural and food industries.
