"Azerbaijan improving labor protection"

The number of individuals working in the security and health sectors has not grown as much this year as in 2009, Azerbaijani Labor and Social Protection Minister Fuzuli Alakbarov told media.

However, the situation is improving, he said.

"The number of workplace deaths and injuries also decreased this year," he said.

The encouraging feature is that the wages, not paid in time, were paid more this year. Last year, 600,000 manat were provided. This is 10 times more than during the first nine months of this year, the minister said.
