About 1,000-1,500 containers with humanitarian cargo are transported to Afghanistan every month within the transport corridor TRACECA (Europe-Caucasus-Asia), TRACECA National Secretary from Azerbaijan Akif Mustafayev said.
Today, the second meeting of the working group on development of cargo transport to Afghanistan through the Caucasus is held in Baku.
It is organized by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport and the International Road Transport Union (IRU).

According to him, the transport of humanitarian cargo is implemented via the Black Sea, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
At present, humanitarian aid is transported by two routes. It is a northern route through Russia and Central within TRACECA.
