Three Georgian border guards were killed on the Georgia-Turkey border on Sept. 2.

Georgian border guards were shot by a fellow serviceman.

Three of the Georgian border guards who were found dead in a summer camp near the Georgia-Turkey border in Akhaltsikh district (southern Georgia) were killed by a fellow servicemen.

Georgian Imedi TV channel reported that the reason for the murder was a dispute between the servicemen.

The incident occurred last night in the area Adigheni on the border with Turkey about 240 kilometers south-west of Tbilisi. Reports that the murder was committed on the border with Armenia were not confirmed.

Rustavi-2 TV channel reported that the murderer has been detained.

According to latest reports, he shot fellow servicemen asleep.

The incident occurred at Akhaltskhe unit of the border.

Three guards have been found dead and one has disappeared. According to initial reports, the incident occurred as a result of the conflict between the border guards.

The search for the missing border guard continues.

The Border Police has not provided comments on the incident yet.
