Russian juice producer promises to remove bottles label of which depicts Azerbaijan without Nakhchivan from sale

16 July 2009 [15:12] - TODAY.AZ
Recently Day.Az published an article which reported that juice the label of which depicts Azerbaijan without Nakhchivan is sold in Kopeika chain of shops in Russia.
Today Day.Az received a letter from the management of company NAR which apologized for misunderstanding related to the label of the pomegranate juice sold in Kopeika chain of shops.

The letter reads:

“This is typography mistake made in February 2009 and, unfortunately, was not immediately noticed. This juice is made by NAR for Kopeika shops under the terms of “private label”, that is,  all the labels are ordered by a customer. As soon as the mistake was noticed, request was sent to Kopeika to return all the juice with erroneous label for a free replacement. The case of bottles with an error on the label is very unpleasant and surprising (it seemed that the issue was resolved long ago) and we will soon hold the necessary arrangements to remove the remaining bottles and replace them with others. We understand and share the concern of readers and assure that we will be even more attentive about such issues in future.”

In our turn, we very much want to believe that NAR will fulfill the promise in a letter and will soon correct the mistake.
