Report on Azerbaijan to be heard at session of UN committee on labor migrants

A preliminary report on Azerbaijan "International convention on protection of all labor migrants and their family members" will be heard at the session of the UN committee on protection of labor migrants rights, according to the press service for the Ministry of Labor and Social protection of population, reports Novosti-Azerbaijan.

The tenth session of the UN committee will be held in Geneva April 21-22.

The report is devoted to the results of work on bringing the national legislation and migration processes regulation system in our country in conformity with the leading world experience.

At the session Azerbaijan will be represented by a delegation headed by deputy Minister of Labor and Social protection of population Natik Mamedov.

The session participants will also discuss measures to fulfill the tasks resulting from International convention and their results in our country.

The session will widely discuss issues of improvement and execution of legislation, connected with labor migrants, the current state of social protection of the people of this category in different countries.
