An explosive assembly has become a cause of a blast, which occured in the Khatai district of Baku, said deputy prosecutor of the Khatai district of Baku Faqan Mahmudov.
"It is now early to speak on the preliminary version, for, according to the information, we have, an explosive substance was used", said Mahmudov Friday.
"Currently, an investigation is underway to define the type of explosive substance, operative research measures are held. Perhaps, the exact information will be received following expertize", noted he.
The transformer supplied electricity to the nearby two schools and a kindergarten.
Two employees of the Bakielektrikshebeke died on the spot and three were injured in the result of the explosion.

According to Interfax-Azerbaijan, a source from the prosecutor's office of the Khatai district of Baku announced that inspectors of law enforcement bodies and emergency ministry's specialists are currently working on the spot.
"It is now difficult to speak about the causes of the blast but I think the issue will be clarified in the evening", said assistant prosecutor's office of the Khatai district of Baku Rafael Quliyev,
He said the issue of instituting a criminal case on the fact of explosion is being settled.
"Naturally, a crimical case will be launched, but it is now early to speak of which body will be empowered to hold the investigation. The criminal case on explosion can be empowered to the Prosecutor General's office or the Ministry of National Security", said assistant of the prosecutor.
The prosecutor also confirmed that during the explosion two officials of Bakelektrikshebeke died and other two were injured.
"The injured were carried to hospital", resumed he.

It was confirmed that the explosion in the Khatai district of Baku was arranged on purpose.
The due announcement was made by the Khatai district prosecutor's office, according to APA.

Day.Az reports with reference to ANS-Press that the names of persons, who were wounded by the blast, have been made public. Thus, Parviz Seidov and Jasur Mamedov got insignificant wounds.

As is reported, Bakielektrikshebeke employees were to install a transformer in a specially allocated building. Yet an explosive assembly snapped into action killing two company employees and wounding other two. The deceased were Kamal Bayramov and Elmar Ismaylov.
Law enforcement officers and emergency ministry's representatives are currently working on the sport. Specially trained dogs also inspect the place.
