Bulgarian delegation visits Baku Slavic University

On November 24, a meeting took place at the Baku Slavic University with the delegation headed by the Speaker of Bulgaria's National Assembly Georgi Pirinski.

Rector of BSU, professor Kamal Abdullayev warmly welcomed visitors, has noted, that this meeting becomes significant event in history of the University and will promote development of relations between two countries as a whole.

The rector has informed visitors that now in the University 54 bachelors and undergraduates are trained in the field of Bulgarian studies, specializing on regional studies and translation. They study the Bulgarian language and literature, culture and history, ethnography, geography, economy, history of public idea and the legislation of Bulgaria, he said.

Now, the University keeps close ties with universities of Bulgaria, teachers and students pass practice there.

Chairman of National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria George Pirinski, in turn, has expressed sincere gratitude for hearty welcome, has told about the meetings lead in Azerbaijan. He has expressed satisfaction that the most part of students chooses the Bulgarian language for studying.

George Pirinski emphasized confidence for further expansion and strengthening of relations between two countries, wished the University successes. AzerTAg
