President to issue decree on development of right defense institutions in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic

According to the decree Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Supreme Court and Prosecutor's Office is recommended and Justice Ministry is charged with ensuring human rights protection, increasing of citizens' confidence in the right defense institutions, simplifying their appeals, transparency in their activity and application of new information technologies corresponding to modernization of juridical system in the country.

Azerbaijan Justice Ministry is put in charge of helping Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Justice Ministry in providing corresponding trainings in order to improve professionalism of the judges of  Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic superior court, juridical officers and other lawyers. Besides, Azerbaijan Justice Ministry should help to supply the Nakhchivan Branch of Forensic Examination Center of the Ministry with modern equipment, to take measures to increase the efficiency of scientific research work, to supply Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic superior courts with legislative and standard acts and juridical literature.

Azerbaijan Supreme Court is recommended to help Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Supreme Court in the organization of the study of precedent law of the European Court on Human Rights. According to the decree the number of the judges Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Economic Court, City Court of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Court of Babek region is increased by one each.

The Azerbaijan Cabinet is put in charge of allocating money to construct new buildings for Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Court of Grave Crimes, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Economic Court, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Military Court, Kangarli region Court, prosecutor's offices in Kangarli, Sederek and Ordubad, to repair the building of Sharur Prosecutor's Office, to ensure the activity of the newly formed ombudsman institution in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, APA reports.
