Azerbaijan's borderlines to be strengthened

Next discussions on strengthening Azerbaijan's borderlines will be held in Brussels in the framework of new neighborhood conception.

According to the information given by Sarat Dash, the representative of International Migration Organizationin Azerbaijan, the representatives of EU and International Migration Organization will participate in the negotiations.

After a meeting the trainings will be carried out with Azeri border guards. Meanwhile this project is expected to provide Iran borderline with special equipments as well as to enrich the infrastructure, ANS reports.

Mr. Dash considers that strengthening of borderlines will be very useful for Azerbaijan to prevent from transnational crimes, as well as to prevent drug traficking from Iran and IMO is ready to help Azerbaijan in this issue.

According to Sarat Dash migrants come to Azerbaijan not only from Iran but also from other countries and the main reason of it is Azerbaijan's economical development.

IMO representative is also planning to visit refugee settlements to get familiar with IDP's condition.
