RF Caspian flotilla detachment to visit Azerbaijan

A detachment of the Russian Federation navy flotilla consisting of the flagship "Tatarstan" and an MB-58 tug under the flag of flotilla commander counter admiral Sergey Alekminskiy is going to visit Azerbaijan on October 9-11, the Russian embassy in Baku reported to Trend.

The purpose of the visit is to develop and strengthen friendly ties between Russian and Azerbaijani seamen in the Caspian sea.

The visit agenda includes business meetings, exchange of experience, introduction of Russian seamen with sights of Baku, and joint sport events.

The "Tatarstan" will be open to the public on October 10.
