The State Border Service and Emergency Situations Ministry issued a joint statement on the fire at the military unit 'N' of the Azerbaijani Border Troops.
According to the report, a fire took place at the ammunition depot of the military unit 'N' of the State Border Service, situated in the settlement of Sangachal in Baku at 07:00 today.
Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov, Emergency Situations Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov, head of the State Border Service Elchin Guliyev and Military Prosecutor Khanlar Veliyev arrived at the scene.
The fire was localised and after a while fully extinguished as a result of action carried out by special units, who immediately arrived at the scene, as well as by aircraft and equipment of the Emergency Situations Ministry.
In connection with the incident, the Emergency Situations Ministry, State Border Service and the Military Prosecutor's Office are holding an investigation.
A fire took place in a military base of the Azerbaijani State Border Service in Gobustan settlement of Garadag district in Baku this morning.
As law enforcement agencies told Trend, the fire hit ammunition depot in the military base.
Fire engines and helicopters of Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Ministry's State Fire Control Service are involved to extinguish the fire.
At the moment, operations are underway to extinguish the fire.
Three employees of the Emergency Situations Ministry were hospitalized, the First Aid Medical Station told Trend. Two of them were hospitalized with trauma diagnosis, while one of them - with smoke inhalation.
