Scholarships for students increased

Azerbaijani Education Minister Misir Mardanov has signed an order for increasing scholarships for doctoral students, students in colleges and professional schools in accordance with the Azerbaijani President’s decree, the ministry reported.

The Azerbaijani President earlier issued an order on increase of scholarships for doctoral students, students of higher and specialized secondary educational institutions and educational institutions of primary vocational education.

Under the order, since Dec.1, 2011 the monthly scholarship was increased by 10% for students as follows: doctoral students, university students with name scholarship, master’s degree and undergraduate students, students of specialized secondary educational institutions who receive excellent, good and excellent, good and satisfactory marks, students of special schools of primary vocational education.
