Armenia may see rise in water tariffs

The water tariffs may increase by 14.3 percent in July 2010 in Armenia, Gagik Margaryan, commercial director of Yerevan Water told a press conference.
"Rates may rise in July 2010 from AMD 181 to 206.98," he said.

Yerevan Water has addressed the Public Services Regulation Commission of Armenia with a request to revise water tariffs.

According to Margaryan, the main factors influencing the changed rates are the volume of water sold, inflation rate and the euro rate.
