09 February 2010 [19:13] - TODAY.AZ
The Islamic Republic of Iran is moving forward with its own pace, Iran's Ambassador to India Syed Mehdi Nabizadeh said on Tuesday.
He made the remarks on the sidelines of a ceremony held at the Iranian Embassy in New Delhi on the occasion of the 31st victory anniversary of Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Referring to achievements made by Iranians in the post-revolution area, the ambassador stated, “Despite international sanctions against the country, Iran will reach the highest peaks in science, technology and policy, and will take an influential place in the global governance. "

"As the most democratic country in the Middle East, Iran is like a bridge in the heart of the region which links the Caspian Sea and the Persian Gulf, as well as the East and West Asia together," added the ambassador.

“Iran’s security and stability can have undeniable effect on the entire Middle East region and West Asia”, Nabizadeh stated adding, "That’s why peaceful coexistence, promotion of bilateral relations and extensive regional and international cooperation are seriously pursued in Iran’s foreign policy."
