Iran’s condensate, petrochemical exports decrease

Iran’s non-oil exports, including condensates have witnessed a 6.6-percent increase during the last fiscal year (ended March 20).

Iran's Customs Administration said that the country’s non-oil exports, including gas condensate, reached $46.93 billion during the last fiscal year compared to $44.42 billion of exports in the preceding year.

The volume of the exported goods reached 132.3 million tons in the 12-month period.

The country includes gas condensate and some raw hydrocarbon products, like propane, butane, etc. in its non-oil export basket.

During the period, the country exported $7.079 billion worth of condensate, 3.28 percent less year-on-year.

Iran’s petrochemical exports also witnessed a fall by 8.3 percent in terms of value, meanwhile export of industrial products registered an increase by 22.3 percent year-on-year.

Liquefied natural gas ($2.495 billion), liquefied propane (worth $1.475 billion), light oils and products (excluding gasoline) worth $1.327 billion and methanol (worth $1.178 billion) were among Iran’s top exported goods in the 12-month period.

China was the main importer of the Iranian goods during the period. Iran’s non-oil exports to China registered a rise by 8.3 percent and stood at $9.065 billion.

The United Arab Emirates ($6.764 billion, fall of 9.6 percent), Iraq ($6.425 billion, 4.8 percent increase), South Korea ($4.38 billion, rise of 52.3 percent) and Turkey ($3.99 billion, an increase of 22.88 percent) were other top importers of Iranian non-oil goods during the last Iranian fiscal year.
