Iran has set up a commission to take required measures against the sanctions imposed by the U.S. over Islamic Republic’s ballistic missile development, Trend reported.

Reformist MP Soheila Jelodarzadeh said that Iran is not after retaliation and it merely looks for justice but if the super powers put forward excessive demands the nation would take the necessary measures by all means.

She further added that the parliamentary commission is currently planning to deal with possible situation regarding the new sanctions.

Earlier, the United States brought 18 organizations and individuals to the list of sanctions on Iran's missile program.

In particular, the list of sanctions included two Iranian organizations that the U.S. believes are involved in the ballistic missile program, seven organizations and five private individuals supporting the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), the elite component of the Armed Forces, as well as a "criminal organization, two Iranian businessmen and a company that organized the theft of American and Western computer programs."

U.S. accuses Iran of support for Hezbollah, Hamas and the Islamic Palestinian Jihad, "threats to Israel and stability in the Middle East," support for Syrian authorities and Husit rebels in Yemen.

Tehran condemned Washington's sanctions, saying that it would impose retaliatory sanctions against American individuals and companies.

Meanwhile, the U.S. House of Representatives is voting today, on July 25, to impose new sanctions against Iran and Russia as well as North Korea. Earlier, Republicans and Democrats have reached agreement on the legislation which "would limit any potential effort by Trump to try to lift sanctions against Moscow."

Since the signing historical Iranian nuclear deal in 2015, the U.S. has retained sanctions against Iran on the missile program, human rights and on suspicion that Tehran sponsors terrorism.

Currently, presidential administration is reviewing policy on Iran, not only looking at Tehran's compliance with the nuclear deal but also its behavior in the region.
