Turkmenistan, Germany to expand ties in high technologies

Ashgabat hosted the Turkmen-German Forum, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Delegation of German Economy in Central Asia.

Heads and leading specialists of the ministries, departments, banking institutions of the two states, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, as well as large German companies took part in the business forum.

Forum participants expressed their positions representing mutual interest in the fields of energy, transport and logistics infrastructure development, chemical industry, engineering, agriculture, construction and production of construction materials, health care and pharmaceutical industries.

Issues of building partnership in the area of ??high technology and electrical engineering became a separate topic of the meeting. Directions of further cooperation between the banks of the two states in the prospective were discussed at the plenary session devoted to the possibilities of the German financial system.

Over 160 joint investment projects in different areas of the Turkmen economy have been implemented to date and are underway to be implemented. In addition, branches and representative offices of more than 60 businesses with German capital operate in Turkmenistan.
