People in Armenia are still full of resolve to fight against constitutional amendments despite the fact that no achievements have been made yet.

Recently thousands of Armenians have taken to the streets to protest against electricity rate hikes, marching to the presidential palace, and now history sees its continuation as disagreement in the country is increasing.

While protests are gaining in scale, the Armenian authorities are silent, doing what they would like to do without paying attention to the reaction of the people.

The Armenian National Assembly approved the constitutional reforms without any apparent reason and social requirements.

In fact, the parliamentary system is accepted in many democratic countries and has dozens of positive sides. However, considering Armenian realities, it is difficult to speak seriously about success. Indeed, any system can be misinterpreted if it is used for private interests. Armenia, a nation famous for corruption, human rights violations and aggression towards its neighboring countries, is a shining example of this.

Now, when the day of transition is approaching, the Armenian opposition plans to hold a large-scale rally in Yerevan's Liberty Square on October 30.

The public protesting front “No” has taken responsibility for the activity and hopes that the rally will be attended by representatives of the political forces that have joined them – the "Heritage" party, the DPA, the ANC and the "founding parliament."

The civil Initiative opposes constitutional reforms and encourages citizens to take part in the rally.
