Though the sanctions on Iran have not yet lifted, the Islamic Republic seems extremely satisfied with the nuclear deal, signed after the long-lasting negotiations to solve the nuclear dispute between the West and Tehran.

With the signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, Iran believes that it is no longer under the threat of war with the West.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said during his speech in Iran's western city of Hamadan on August 25 that the war shadow over Iran is gone thanks to the nuclear agreement, IRINN TV reported.

Rouhani pointed out that after 23 months of intensive talks, real security was returned to Iran and its people. He referred to removing the UN Security Council resolutions against Iran as a diplomatic victory for his office.

After several months of talks, Iran and the P5+1 (U.S., Russia, China, France, UK, and Germany) announced a final accord on July 14, which is expected to curb Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of most international sanctions.

Following the deal, members of the UN Security Council unanimously passed a resolution on July 20, endorsing the deal.

Rouhani further said according to the new UN Security Council resolution, all countries should spare no help to Iran in the area of nuclear technology.

Rouhani also added that Iran’s uranium enrichment right is stabilized in the new resolution.

"Today Iran’s peaceful side is introduced to the global community, more than during any other time in the past," he said, adding that the Iranian people will witness rapid movement towards real progress in the coming months.

He also underlined that his administration has achieved its economic goals even under pressure from the sanctions.

Iran was forced into a significant economic downturn and international isolation under the weight of international sanctions for many years.

The Iranian economy has been severely battered by international sanctions over the years, most especially since the European Union and the United States tightened their restrictions against the country.

Therefore, Iran is considered to be the big winner of the nuclear deal since world powers will end Iran’s isolation and welcome the Islamic Republic back into the global market fold.

Rouhani earlier said “the nuclear victory is the prelude to all kinds of great achievements for the country in the future.”

Iran’s Economy and Finance Minister, Ali Tayyebnia, has recently said the country will face a better economic situation in the aftermath of the nuclear deal between the P5+1 group of countries and Iran.

He noted that the effects of sanctions removal will be evident in the next three to four months.

As of now, the Islamic Republic is in a very sensitive state as the economy has been contaminated by bad politics and policies. The Iranian economy has for long suffered from a heavy reliance on oil-revenues, which negatively affect other fields of the economy.

Tayyebnia said the government is determined to make careful and wise decisions to eliminate the economic problems facing the country.

He said government is currently focused on the improvement of business practices along with the reformation of the banking and taxation systems.

The Iranian government plans to secure an 8 percent in near future. However, officials reiterate that reaching such a figure needs both domestic and foreign resources.
