Kazakhstan's airlines plan to increase coverage to new destinations, opening a range of new air transport routes to China, says the Kazakhstan Ministry of Investment and Development.

The number of available Kazakhstan airline flights to Chinese cities doubled as result of successful cooperation between Chinese and Kazakh aviation officials.

The sides agreed on a significant expansion of flights between the two countries, which will open up new opportunities for further growth in the volume of transit passenger traffic.

Currently, the number of terminals allotted for flights going to China increased by 12 times in Kazakhstan, and the number of routes to China increased by 130 percent. In turn, China plans to open new routes to Astana and Kyzylorda.
