Iran nuclear deal to open new chapter in regional cooperation

15 July 2015 [14:15] - TODAY.AZ

The Iran nuclear deal will open a new chapter in regional cooperation, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said.

“We recommend all our neighbors and regional countries as well take advantage of this constructive opportunity for boosting security in the region,” Iran ’s Fars news agency quoted Larijani as saying July 15.

“ The joy and happiness of our friends in the region and the anger and wrath of Israel after the nuclear deal indicate that the deal could isolate heinous regional governments and opened up a new era in cooperation with the Islamic Republic,” Larijani stated.

He appreciated regional friends, especially Sultan Qaboos, the Sultan of Oman, for their positive role during the nuclear talks.

Iran and P5 +1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China and Germany) reached a historic agreement on Iran’s nuclear program July 14.

The negotiations ended with adoption of a joint comprehensive action plan. If Iran carries out this plan, the economic and financial sanctions earlier imposed on it by the UN Security Council, the US and EU will be lifted.
