Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran’s foreign minister has said Iran and the West have reached a very sensitive stage in negotiations on Tehran's nuclear program.

Zarif said on the sidelines of the talks in Vienna on June 30—a deadline for reaching a final nuclear agreement—that the people of Iran would support only a fair and balanced solution to the nuclear issue and the country will keep its national pride and rights, IRNA reported.

He reiterated that the political will of the other parties to the negotiations is needed to reach an acceptable solution.

Zarif said the basis for a final agreement on Iran's nuclear program should be the framework agreement concluded in Lausanne, adding it will be possible to reach a decision only in this case.

Iran and the P5+1(the U.S, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) reached framework nuclear deal in the Swiss city of Lausanne on April 2. The sides are negotiating to reach a comprehensive nuclear deal by June 30, but are no results yet.

John Kerry, the U.S. Secretary of State said on June 30 that he was satisfied with his talks with Zarif.

Kerry held private talks with Zarif for an hour and then the two sides held talks in the presence of other Iranian and American negotiators.

After Kerry and Zarif’s private meeting, Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali-Akbar Salehi, President Hassan Rohani's special aide Hossein Fereydoun, and U.S. Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz joined them.

A day earlier, senior representatives of Iran and the P5+1 group of countries discussed drafting the text of a possible final agreement over Tehran’s nuclear program.

Iranian deputy foreign ministers, Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-e Ravanchi, held a three-hour meeting with European Union deputy foreign policy chief Helga Schmid in Vienna.

The members of Iran’s negotiating team also held discussions with U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman on the draft of the final deal.
