The two countries voiced their intention to railway transportation in this regard.

Uzbekistan, in particular, plans to supply wide range of products to Tajik market, including modern cars and trucks, buses, agricultural machinery, chemical and electrical products and many other products.

The volume of mutual trade between the two countries amounted to $150 million on average over the past five years. The figure increased by only 5.5 percent over the last year to $160 million. There are 18 enterprises with participation of Tajik businesses in Uzbekistan.

The two countries have quite broad interaction in the service sector, and need to develop the commodity exchange. The visa regime enforcing between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan is considered to be one of obstacles to intensify the interaction, Said Davlatali, Tajikistan Deputy Prime Minister believes.

Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, which comprise top three economies in the Central Asia, have large potential for broader cooperation in the framework of North-South, East-West directions, as well as the diversification of transit transport infrastructure.
