Iran has unveiled its latest nuclear achievements on its national Nuclear Technology Day, just a week after it reached a tantalizing agreement with world powers over its disputed nuclear program.

Among the domestic accomplishments unveiled on April 9 were three radio-medicines as well as a nuclear fuel assembly for power reactors, Press TV reported.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who attended the event, congratulated Iranians on the recent nuclear achievements.

He said Iranian youth and scientists have managed to achieve progress despite world powers' attempt to hinder such efforts and prevent the Islamic Republic from moving forward.

Referring to the mutual understanding with six world powers reached in the Swiss city of Lausanne, Rouhani said the joint statement was not Iran's only achievement in the nuclear talks with the P5+1 group.

Rouhani noted that the Islamic Republic’s chief gain was the fact that U.S. President Barack Obama acknowledged that the people of Iran will not surrender to bullying, sanctions and threats.

Iran and the P5+1 states – the U.S., France, Britain, Russia and China plus Germany – reached the framework agreement on April 2 at the end of eight days of sensitive nuclear negotiations in Lausanne. The sides are now looking forward to draw up a final accord by the end of the self-designated June 30 deadline.

Under the joint statement reached by Iran and world powers, the two sides have reached a mechanism to lift all anti-Iran sanctions once the agreement, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), is reached by the end of June.

However, Rouhani said Iran will not sign any nuclear agreement with the P5+1 group, if all economic sanctions are not lifted on the first day after the deal is signed.

He underlined that if the P5+1 have claimed victory over the deal, saying they prevented Iran from weaponzing their nuclear technology, since Iran never actually had any military ambition to that regard.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution warned that though much progress had been made, victory was still a long way away since the deal had yet to be inked.
