Hungary voiced an absolute support to Georgia in regard to a visa-free travel with the European Union, said a top Hungarian official.

The EU had to give a visa waiver to Georgia, Victor Orban, Prime Minister, said at a joint press conference with his Georgian counterpart Irakli Garibashvili in Budapest.

Orban claimed that it will be one of the logical consequences of the document that Georgia signed with the EU. "It will clearly have benefit both for the Georgian people and the European Union."

Meanwhile, the two premiers also spoke about the trade and economic relations between Georgia and Hungary.

Orban said a Hungarian Trade Office would be represented in Tbilisi in April, which would further deepen relations between the two countries.

The sides appreciated Hungarian air company Wizz Air's regular flights between Georgia’s second largest city Kutaisi and Budapest, which has significantly contributed to touristic relations through increasing the number of tourists and simplifying travel between the two countries.

The discussion also focused on Georgia's EU integration and future NATO membership. The Georgian side spoke highly of Hungary's active support to Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

Meantime, the Hungarian Export-Import Bank offered $50 million to Georgia to support business development in the country.

Garibashvili expressed hope that Georgia will further develop deeper business relations and tighter trade-economic cooperation with Hungary, at the Hungarian-Georgian business forum.
