Georgia to send observers to Ukrainian parliamentary election

Chairman of Georgian parliament David Usupashvili met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia, Vasyl Tsybenko.

During the meeting, the ambassador briefed Usupashvili about the developments in Ukraine, especially in the country’s eastern provinces and Usupashvili for his part, expressed support to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, Georgian parliament told Trend.

During the meeting, the sides agreed on Georgia’s sending of observers to the early election to Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada, (parliament).

The early parliamentary election in Ukraine will be held on Oct.26. The procedure of registration of candidates for MPs was completed on September 30.

The election campaign in Ukraine is being held under the conditions of acute political crisis and armed confrontation in the south-east of the country.
