Azerbaijan, Georgia to mull gas price

25 December 2012 [14:04] - TODAY.AZ
It is possible to talk about gas tariffs after the visit to Baku, Georgian Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze said.

Georgian government delegation led by Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili will visit Azerbaijan on Dec.26. The delegation will also include Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze.

According to Kaladze, one of the urgent topics at the meetings in Azerbaijan will be gas price. He expressed the hope that the issue will be resolved positively.

As for the fuel price, after the "Georgian Dream" came to power, the cost of fuel has started to decline, Kaladze said. "Maybe prices will continue to fall also in the future," he added.

Meanwhile, Ivanishvili said at a press briefing on Monday that the reduction in gas tariff can be "only symbolic".
