21 August 2012 [14:43] - TODAY.AZ
Some 400 OSCE monitors will observe the parliamentary elections in Georgia, which will be held on October 1, head of the Georgian observer organisation Fair Elections Nino Lomdzhariya told journalists after a meeting with an OSCE delegation headed by its chairman, Ricardo Millori.

The delegation arrived in Tbilisi on August 20 and is holding meetings in Parliament and with the representatives of the party on August 21.

The Central Election Commission has registered two polling units and 21 parties and refused to register eight parties as bodies that will participate in the parliamentary elections.

Registered parties should submit party lists and a majoritarian candidate up till September 1 to the CEC.
