Seismic risk achieves maximum level in Armenia

The seismic risk in Armenia achieved its maximum level, the evaluation of seismic vulnerability in the territory of Yerevan in terms of seismic protection program reads. The report was submitted by the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations to the approval of the Government, News.am reported.

The risk is due to the new stage of seismic activity, low level of seismic resistance of the buildings, as well as poor awareness of population, social-economic position and other factors.
