Azerbaijani minister attends symposium

A delegation led by Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Minister visited the UAE. The delegation is attending Global Police Symposium organized by Abu Dhabi police with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, which began its work on Dec.4 in Abu Dhabi, Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Ministry website reported on Monday.

The symposium mainly aims at bring together law enforcement agencies of various countries in combating crime and ensuring stability, as well as discussion of major disasters prevention at the international level. Emergency Situations Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov addressed the symposium.

He informed the symposium participants on the measures taken by Azerbaijan on the local and international levels for disaster prevention and elimination of their consequences. He also spoke about the role of international cooperation in this matter.
