"Azerbaijan is reach with natural resources and plays a key role in global energy security. Today Azerbaijan has become a transit country and participates in major projects connecting East and West," Azimov said. Deputy Foreign Minister Hafiz Pashayev said in his speech that the Armenian diaspora can not achieve its goals in the U.S.

"We have informed the U.S society about the region," he said. "This information influences shaping the current U.S. foreign policy." Pashayev said that the US-Azerbaijan cooperation in combating terrorism is one of the priorities. According to him, Azerbaijan's energy activity has increased U.S. interests in the region.

"The current situation shows that Azerbaijan is stronger than Armenia in the U.S. and this indicates Azerbaijan's importance in the region," Pashayev said.

The NATO International School in Azerbaijan aims to establish the cooperation in the Euro-Atlantic region, beyond it between the NATO members and partner countries, young scholars, independent experts, as well as between military and civilian representatives, to discuss urgent threats and to explore the ways to solve them together.
