China`s ambassador to Azerbaijan visits Ganja

.Chinese ambassador to Azerbaijan Zhang Yannianhas visited Ganja. The diplomat met with Ganja governor Elmar Veliyev to discuss the relations between China and Azerbaijan.

They also exchanged views on the projects carried out by China in Azerbaijan. The Ganja governor noted Chinese experts made a significant contribution to the re-opening of one of the largest industrial enterprises in the city, Ganja Aluminum Plant.

After the meeting, the ambassador told journalists that broad economic relations were established between his country and Azerbaijan. “The government of China is very satisfied with these relations. The 4th International China-Azerbaijan Trade Exhibition will be opened soon”.

The Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be resolved exclusively on the basis of international law, President Ilham Aliyev said when he made press statement together with his Hungarian counterpart Pal Schmitt in Baku.

The President said “Our position is based on international law. It has emerged on the basis of resolutions and decisions passed by international organizations.”

“Four resolutions of the UN Security Council should be fulfilled. Armenian occupying forces must withdraw from the Azerbaijani lands. Azerbaijani citizens must return to their native land. There are quite a few decisions on this matter. International organizations have expressed their fair position on this issue. We hope that this issue will soon be resolved on the basis of international norms and Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.”
