Azerbaijan may raise the issue of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the UN Security Council.
"Three of five permanent UN Security Council members - the U.S., Russia and France - are co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, and of course, before raising the Nagorno-Karabakh issue in the UN Security Council, we will discuss it with them," Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov told journalists while commenting on the Azerbaijani side's possible initiatives as a new non-permanent member of this organization.
Mammadyarov called Azerbaijan's election to such an authoritative unit of the UN a result of the international community's support.
