Interior Ministry: Islamists do not hold rally in Baku

Some media outlets disseminated the information that several individuals allegedly held a rally in front of the Justice Ministry on Friday, the rally was broken up by police and 200 - 250 Islamists were arrested.

These individuals call themselves members and supporters of the Azerbaijani Islamic Party.

This information was disseminated intentionally. It is wrong information, the Interior Ministry told said on Saturday. No rally was held in front of the Justice Ministry that day. The police did not detain anyone.
