Azerbaijani, Latvian municipalities mull prospects for cooperation

Azerbaijan ambassador to Latvia Elman Zeynalov met with representatives of the municipalities of Nizami district of Baku and Latvia`s Kekava district to discuss the opportunity to sign a cooperation agreement on development of municipalities.

Zeynalov said that the aim of Azeri delegation`s visit is to get familiar with Kekava Municipality`s work, the European funds and explore possibilities for networking with local business community.

Representative of Nizami Municipality Heydar Rahimov noted that employees of the municipality visited in April Turkish city Bursa, which has a twinning agreement with Nizami Municipality. He underlined that they met Kekava delegation there and signed the twinning protocols.

Zeynalov stressed the Embassy will support expansion of friendly relations between Nizami and Kekava Municipalities.
