Council regulating construction of mosques launched in Azerbaijan

"Those who want to build or repair a mosque in Azerbaijan must provide relevant documents to the council. Only after the positive response of the Council, the mosque can be built or renovated," chairman of the State Committee for the Work with Religious Associations Hidayat Orujov told the media.

Representatives of local executive bodies, the Caucasian Muslims Office, the State Committee for Land and Cartography will be Council members, Orujov said.
