New PACE president meets Azerbaijani delegation

Newly elected President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Mevlut Cavusoglu met Azerbaijan`s delegation to the organization on Jan. 28.
Head of the delegation Samad Seyidov conveyed the Azerbaijani President`s and Speaker`s congratulations to Cavusoglu, and said the people of Azerbaijan warmly welcomed his becoming chief of the assembly.

The meeting discussed a wide range of issues, including current level of Azerbaijan-COE relations.

Cavusoglu said he would spare no efforts to contribute to developing the cooperation between Azerbaijan and the organization.

Cavusoglu vowed the PACE would objectively investigate the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Members of the Azeri delegation Rafael Huseynov, Gultekin Hajibeyli and Aynur Guliyeva and Azerbaijan`s Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe Ambassador Arif Mammadov were present at the meeting.
