Leader of the Musavat opposition party Isa Qambar said that after 2010 he will be the ordinary member of the party.

According to Yeni Musavat newspaper, Musavat bashqan Isa Qambar announced that after completion of his term in 2010 he will not ballot for the bashqan of the party.
"An amendment to the charter of the party, prohibiting to the chairman of the party and chairman of the Central Control Revision Commission, as well as chairmen of local organizations and others to occupy their posts for more than two terms, was adopted at the session of the party in 2001", said Qambar in his interview to Yeni Musavat newspaper.
He noted that the said initiative was his amendment, which he proposed earlier. "But at the same time the Musavat leadership did not agree with my proposal and it was adopted only at the seventh session of the party".
Asked about possible worsening of situation in the party after the shift of a leader, Qambar said that being an old party, Musavat has strong traditions, "Upon the completion of my term, Musavat will continue its historical mission", said Qambar.
It should be reminded that Qambar has been the Musavat leader since 1002 after the party restored its functioning in Azerbaijan following a long emigration history.
