Azerbaijan National Independence Party sees no need in creating the oppositional coalition

19 August 2008 [09:46] - TODAY.AZ
"The National Independence Party of Azerbaijan does not see any need in creating a new oppositional coalition, which several political structures plan to create", said spokesman for the party on issues of press and agitation Ali Orujev.
He noted that the party has repeatedly offered the initiative of uniting the opposition, but the attempts of cooperation were unsuccessful.

"The coalition, which separate opposition leaders create in current conditions, pursue different purposes, as compared to our party. The party does not take part in the presidential elections, for we have no candidate.

Our party has been repeatedly represented in coalitions, yet the Azadlyg bloc often violated the principle of cooperation. In this connection, the cooperation of opposition in a large coalition was not successful.

As for the creation of a coalition, it should also be noted that no party has ever appealed to us regarding cooperation", said Orujev.
