The Divan of the Musavat party voiced approval for the decree of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to mark the 90th anniversary of the Azerbaijan People's Republic at its session yesterday.

According to Day.Az, the Divan expressed satisfaction with the decree of the President. At the same time, the party considers that the principal position of the political parties, specialists, youth and the community, on the whole, played a decisive role in this issue.

The party members voiced hope that the decree will be observed. The Musavat party considers it necessary to return the names of M.A. Rasulzade and U.Hajibeyov to the Baku State University and the National Conservatory respectively before the anniversary.

The Musavat party also discussed the refusal of the Yeni Azerbaijan Party to hold a demonstration of political parties on the day of the Khojaly tragedy at the Azadlyg square. The party assessed the refusal as a step contradicting the national solidarity.

The Musavat party called on all parties to visit the memorial to the Khojaly victims on February 26 together.
