President, first lady visit Aghjabadi region

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva have today visited Aghjabadi district, Azertag reported on February 13.

The head of state and the First Lady visited the statue of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the center of the district and viewed conditions created at “Aghjabadi Grain Agropark”.

Executive Director of the Agropark Elman Karimov informed the head of state and the First Lady of the work done here.

The Agropark occupies a total area of 3,000 hectares. A soft loan of AZN 9.8 million was provided for the creation of the Agropark worth AZN 35 million. The facility employs 150 people.

President Ilham Aliyev inaugurated the newly renovated 110/35/10 kV “Aghjabadi” substation.

President of AzerEnergy OJSC Baba Rzayev informed the head of state of the work done.

The head of state launched the substation.

The head of state and the First Lady attended the openings of the newly built military campus of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel General Vilayat Eyvazov and Commander of Internal Troops Lieutenant-General Shahin Mammadov reported to President of Azerbaijan, Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.

Highlighting the work done at the military campus, Minister Vilayat Eyvazov noted that the construction of the military campus, which occupies an area of 6,2 hectares, started in September 2019. The construction work was successsfuly completed last November.

The buildings in the campus were supplied with necessary furniture and inventory. Landscaping work was carried out inside and around the campus.

The President, Commander-in-Chief familiarized himself with the headquarters, dormitories for servicemen, medical point and canteen in the campus.

President, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev then viewed the the weapons and military equipment for the Internal Troops’ special forces.

Next, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva viewed the Avshar-Salmanbayli-Ashaghi Avshar-Khojavand highway.

They were also informed of the work done on the Ujar-Zardab-Aghjabadi highway of national importance.
