Anar Mamedkhanov: That were not exit-polls but rather inside-polls

07 November 2005 [18:58] - TODAY.AZ
Anar Mamedkhanov who was re-elected to the new Parliament, says that principles of exit-polling were violated at his precinct.

“The exit poll should be held outside of the polling station’s exit, however this principle was violated and the poll was taken inside of polling stations. These violations occurred at four polling stations of Surakhan precinct 30 where I was registered as a candidate. That was not an “exit-poll” but rather an “inside-poll”.

Another violation was the fact that representatives of opposition were participating in exit-polling. “Despite the fact that the CEC officially confirmed that I gained a high number of votes, the exit-poll denies that. They came to the conclusion that Eyyub Vurgun who was an alternative to me, has gained more votes. I consider this conclusion to be a result of violation of principles which I mentioned above,” said Mamedkhanov.
