National leader Heydar Aliyev commemorated in several countries

A series of events to commemorate national leader Heydar Aliyev`s memory has been held in the city of Yekaterinburg (Russia), Tehran (Iran) Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) and Aktau (Kazakhstan).
Opening the event in Yekaterinburg, Azerbaijani consul general Soltan Gasimov spoke about national leader Heydar Aliyev`s lifetime and political activities, as well as his role in strengthening the Azerbaijan-Russia relations.

In the commemorative ceremony held in Tehran Azerbaijani ambassador to Iran Javanshir Akhundov informed the participants about the salvation mission of the National Leader and his services before the Azerbaijani people.

Another event to mark the 10th anniversary of death of Heydar Aliyev held in Bishkek featuring speeches by Azerbaijani ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Hidayet Orujov, as well as members of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan friendship group. The speakers briefed the participants on national leader Heydar Aliyev`s role in development of modern Azerbaijan.

The event to commemorate Heydar Aliyev`s memory in Aktau has been organized by Azerbaijani consulate general in this city. Consul general of Azerbaijan Rashad Mammadov, chairman of the “Friendship” Azerbaijan National Cultural Centre Vagif Nabiyev and others delivered speeches at the event on national leader Heydar Aliyev`s role in the history of his country.
