President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received ambassador of Kuwait Ghassan Abdulbari al-Zawawi who has completed his diplomatic mission in the country.

The Head of State praised bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kuwait.

The President said that the two countries were successfully cooperating within international organizations, noting the importance of expanding this cooperation even further.

President Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan and Kuwait enjoyed strong political relationship, adding there is big potential to develop the bilateral relations in the fields of economy, investment making, tourism and joint projects.

The Azerbaijani leader stressed the importance of reciprocal visits in terms of strengthening the bilateral ties.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that the Azerbaijan-Kuwait relations would continue to develop.

Ghassan Abdulbari al-Zawawi said there were good opportunities for expansion of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Kuwait in a variety of fields.

The diplomat expressed hope that bilateral relations between the two countries would continue to enhance.
