Croatian embassy to open in Baku

Croatia plans to open its embassy in Baku shortly and this will contribute to future development of Azerbaijan-Croatia relations, Croatia`s Honorary consul in Azerbaijan Kenan Mammadov said.

The consul said Croatia is interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan, adding ties between the two nations are steadily developing.

Mammadov noted that Croats are keen on cooperating in a number of fields with Azerbaijan.
The honorary consul pointed out Azerbaijan-Croatia cooperation has rich potential, in particular, in the fields of ship building, engineering, communications, agriculture, fishery and pharmaceuticals.

Mammadov said Azerbaijan-Croatia ties are based on solid foundation, saying there are good prospects for expanding cooperation.

"I am sure that Azerbaijan and Croatia will be cooperating actively on a bilateral basis and within the framework of the Azerbaijan-European Union," he added.
