Moldovan ombudsman: Armenia committed genocide against Azerbaijanis

“The Khojaly genocide was committed by the Armenians and it is internationally accepted fact. Armenia has occupied 20% of Azerbaijani territories and committed genocide against the Azerbaijanis,” said Parliamentary Advocate of the Republic of Moldova Aurelia Grigoriu addressing the Armenian Parliament.

The Pan-European Conference is being held at the Armenian Parliament. Aurelia Grigoriu delivered speech on “Violation of human rights in frozen conflict zones”. Some participants have applauded Ms. Grigoriu’s “Armenia has occupied 20% of Azerbaijani territories and committed genocide against the Azerbaijanis” statement.

 Vice-speaker of Armenian parliament Ermine Nagdalyan said that tribune of Armenian parliament should not be used to fulfill the tasks: ‘I don’t know whose orders you fulfill, but you can write your speech and show them to orderers. To my mind, high-ranking guests must protest the use of scientific conference for unacceptable discussions’.

In respond to it, Aurelia Grigoriu said that she doesn’t intend to go into the details of the conflict: ‘I can only say that violation of human rights in frozen conflict zones is inadmissible’.
